Should I Size Up Or Down For Doc Martens

How-do-you-do,

Basically I've been watching a few pairs of dr martens online and I want to purchase some but sadly I am a size iv and I've seen more than size 5's going. I'chiliad actually tempted to buy this size v pair I like just I'm worried information technology'll be too big or look stupid on me. I'm quite petite in frame size althogh average in weight. I'm pretty short 5'1 but my legs aren't skinny (I used to be a dancer). I oasis't had risk to get try whatsoever on all the same in the shops and they pair I've been eyeing is ending shortly on ebay.

Whatever communication on sizing would be actually useful! How did you find your dr martens fit?

I own a pair of size 5 Dr Martens and I usually wear thick socks with them, otherwise they're quite loose.

they're adequately spacious, and seeing equally they're pretty clumpy wearing a pair that'south besides big might brand your feet look HUUGE

pointer: don't buy used dm's! they mould to the shape of your feet, so shoes in the shape of someone elses feet will rub alot!

Not helpful if you don't tell OP your normal size... eg are you a size 4 usually like she is?

Hah, you sound similar a clone of me, same elevation and shoe size and everything... I have bought size four dr martens and had to wear two pairs of socks for a while until they wore in and fitted better to my feet, i don't recommend buying size 5s based on that, and a new pair of size 4s look rather clumpy on me as information technology is, so a size upwardly might be very asymmetric. (Basically, get the size 4s )

Aah sorry
I'm effectually a size 5 for trainers or 4.5 if they're 'lighter' shoes similar flats. Also, they practice make my feet look quite clunky I s'pose, peculiarly from a side view although I don't know if that's but me taking too much find every bit nobody else has realised/cared.

I'yard a size 7 in every shoe shop. All the same the docs I own are a size 6 considering they are so roomy!
I definately dont recommend getting size 5'due south, and they will make your anxiety wait out of proportion, mine await huge in my docs!

I as well concur with the poster above, don't get used ones because they will have molded to someone elses feet, information technology is a groovy investment to purchase new ones, (plus y'all can endeavor them on!)

Hi,

Basically I've been watching a few pairs of dr martens online and I want to purchase some simply sadly I am a size four and I've seen more than size 5's going. I'm really tempted to buy this size v pair I like but I'm worried it'll exist besides big or look stupid on me. I'm quite petite in frame size althogh average in weight. Any advice on sizing would exist really useful! How did yous find your dr martens fit?

I take no thought what size my feet are, merely I got a size 9... or ten, I can't retrieve. Either either, seeing equally they mould themselves to the shape of your anxiety, it doesn't make also much of a difference.

Besides, boots (proper boots, non stupid fluffy frilly things) make your feet look large anyway, so why is information technology such a large bargain if y'all buy a ane size up?

Likewise, they rub your ankles like hell after yous buy them. It takes a while to wearable them in, just it's then worth it.

Give thanks you so much for your replies everyone!!! Saved myself a lot of hassle, I volition look out for size 4s that are new or almost new!!

Does anyone accept any advice for me as well? I'm ordinarily a size 5 in flats but size iv in heels! I'g also 5'1 and average weight however I hate having really loose shoes and am looking for a comfy, snug fit but don't know if the 4'south volition be too tight? Which ones shall I get for, 5 or 4? PLEZZ REPLY

This completely contradicts what other people accept said, but by far the about comfy Docs I own are the ones I've bought when they were already pretty battered up. I discover that they injure like hell when they're new and become more than and more comfortable as they're worn in, so I only e'er purchase them second hand and have never had any problems.

EDIT: Only if you're unsure near the size, I would definitely suggest trying some on in a shop (even if you so go on to buy them online).
